These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the web application Lineal Handy (accessible via linealhandy.de).
Lineal Handy provides an online software solution allowing users to turn any screen surface on computers, tablets, and mobile smartphones into a calibrated digital length measuring instrument (supporting centimeters, millimeters, and inches). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Lineal Handy is provided to all users free of charge. No registration, user account, or software installation is required.
We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use Lineal Handy for private and professional reference measurements. Automated queries, data scraping, or malicious disruption of the server infrastructure are strictly prohibited.
Lineal Handy is an everyday digital aid designed for quick reference. It is not a certified or officially calibrated measuring instrument for legal metrology.
While our calibration engine strives for true 1:1 real-world dimensions when calibrated against standard objects (such as a 1-Euro coin or ISO credit card), physical variations, screen glass thickness, screen protectors, system scaling, and user alignment inaccuracies may introduce tolerances.
Lineal Handy must NOT be used for safety-critical, architectural, surgical, or officially regulated commercial transactions where inaccurate measurements could cause bodily harm, property damage, or financial loss.
All code, algorithms, interface layouts, vector graphics, logos, and written content on Lineal Handy are protected under copyright and international intellectual property laws.
Reproduction, modification, or distribution of any part of this software beyond personal browser execution requires prior written consent from the operator.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted uptime or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable German statutory law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the application or from reliance on measurements obtained through the tool.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed unenforceable or invalid, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
